Chronology

After the contract was signed in September, 1972, a separate contract
for mapping was awarded by the District to Merrick and Company for topographic
mapping of the basin. This mapping was completed in late March, 1973, and the
engineering studies began in April; the Phase A wark was concluded in June.

Acknow ledgments

We wish to acknowledge the assistance of all who contributed to this
report. The Urban Drainage District and officials of the three communities in
the drainage basin were very helpful and provided much information from pre-
vious studies, as well as data on present and future land use. Mr. Lee Rice and
the Technical Advisory Committee gave comments, advice and information from
other projects, and the discussions with Attorney Roan were helpful in formulating
the final plan of approach.

Mr. D. J. Gianola was Project Director for the Urban Drainoge District,
and Mr. E. Will was Project Manager for ECI. The technical studies were con-
ducted by Mr. Yin Au-Yeung, assisted by Messrs. Wijitha Dharmawardene and
Ikramul Haque, and the plates and figures were prepared by Mr. Frank Sugihara
and Mrs. Lis Wotovitch.

.

1-2
