<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain information in said new report with said new supplemental <br />report for the Arkansas River in the Town of Buena Vista meets all of the requirements for <br />approximate information listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation <br />and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 <br />CCR408-1). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />in regular meeting assembled in Northglenn, Colorado, this 29th day of January 1997, that it <br />does hereby designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those <br />streams, as listed in Table I, described by detailed floodplain information in said new report <br />dated March 30, 1982, for incorporated areas of the Town of Buena Vista; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular <br />meeting assembled in Northglenn, Colorado, this 29th day of January 1997, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those portions of the <br />Arkansas River within the Town of Buena Vista described by approximate floodplain <br />information in said new report dated March 30, 1982 with said new supplemental report dated <br />December 1996; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Town of Buena Vista; the City of Salida; the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Chaffee County; the Town of Poncha Springs; the Colorado Office <br />of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District; and the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a <br />majority vote of the members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session <br />assembled at Northglenn, Colorado, on the 29th day of January, 1997, at which a quorum was <br />present <br /> <br />~ l.1.~~ <br /> <br />Daries C.
