CITY OF OURAY, COLORADO DEBRIS AND FLOOD CONTROL IMPROVEMEN'~S CASCADE CREEK PHASE II BID ITEM DESCRIPTIONS, MEASUREMEm~ AND PAYMENT Payment shall be made only for "those items included in 1:.he Proposal. All costs incurred shall comply with the provisions of theSE;! Specifications and shall be included in the unit price bid for 1:he a8socia1:ed items in the Proposal. Except as may be otherwise stipulated, no mat:erial, labor, or equipment will be furnished by City. The basis of rneasuremen"t and payment for each proposal item will be as &~scribed below: Item No, 100 CLEARING AND GRUBBING. No quanitity measurement will be made for any materials or work :required to co:mplet;e this item in place. This work shall consist of clearing, grubbing, removing, and disposing of all vege- tation and debris within the limits of the right-af-way and permanent easement areas and such other areas as may be indicatE~d on the Drawings or required by the work, except such objects as are designat:ed to remain or are to be removed in accordance with other sect:ions of theSE! Specifications. This work shall also include the preserva1:ion from injury or defacement of all vegeta- tion and objects designed to remain. Item No. 101 REMOVAL OF EXISTING CONCRE~rE FLUME. The measurement and payment of this item will be thE> total number of linear feet of existing flume required to be removed for cons1:ruct.ion of the proposed flume measured along the centerline of the flume removed, The unit price hid per linear foot of removal shall include all of the Cont:ractor' s costs of whatsoever nature for removing the existing flume. The price bid shall include: excavation; remo- val of surface materials; removing the ex:isti:ng flume; a.ll required tr.a.nspor- tation of excavated materials; stockpiling the existing flume on site approved by the City; protection of exis,t:ing facilities; disposal of debris and excess excavated material; and all o.ther related and necessary materials, work, and equipment required to remove "the existing flume in accordance w"ith the Drawings and Specifications. Item No. 102 and 103 REMOVE, M()DIF~ AND__REPL~CE EXISTIN0 BRIDGES. The measurement for payment of this item will be the total number of bridges removed, modified and replaced. The unit price bid per bridge shall include all of the Contractor's costs of wha1:soever nature" The price bid shall include: removal of existing bridge structure; storage; modifications as shown in the drawings; construct.ion of concrete bearing surfaces; any barrica- des, traffic control, and detour signs necess.:iry during construction; rebuilding and compacting approach roadways; and all other related and necessary materials, work, and E!quipment neceBsary to remove, modify and replace the bridge. Item No, 104 PROTECTION OF EXISTING STRUCTURES. No quantity measure- ment will be made for any materials or work required to complet:e this item in place.
