Because of the lack of funds and high costs for <br />easements needed for structural control, none of the proposals have been <br /> <br />implemented. <br /> <br />Recommendations <br /> <br />The following recommendations are included for consideration in <br /> <br /> <br />reducing potential flood damages on the Coal and Rock Creek study area. <br /> <br />I. Boulder and Weld Counties, and the Urban-Drainage and Flood <br /> <br /> <br />Control District should submit this Flood Hazard Analyses to <br /> <br /> <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board for designation and <br /> <br /> <br />approva I . <br /> <br />2. Boulder and Weld Counties, and the Urban Drainage and Flood <br />Control District should develop a master drainage plan for the <br />entire Coal Creek and Rock Creek Watershed. <br /> <br />3. Several existing road crossings obstruct flows during flood <br />stage. Remedial measures to existing obstructions, and future <br />road crossing design and locations should be compatible with <br />the master drainage plan. <br /> <br />4. Review and update comprehensive plans so that projected land <br /> <br />use will be in conformance with permissible uses within the <br />Flood Regulatory Area. <br /> <br />- 19 - <br />
