<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FPR 92-325 <br /> <br />COWRADO WAlER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />July 10, 1992 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Cripple Creek Floodplain Management Study, <br />Hydrology" has been prepared by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation <br />Service, in cooperation with the Colorado Water Conservation Board, Teller County and the <br />City of Cripple Creek, on January 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Drainage Master Plan for the City of Cripple <br />Creek, Final Report," dated April 1992 has been prepared by the GMS, Inc. based on the <br />heretofore mentioned SCS hydrology study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has prepared an approximate <br />floodplain map for Cripple Creek, Pony Gulch, Second Street Tributary, Thurlow Avenue <br />Tributary, Main Street Tributary, Poverty Gulch, East Fork of Cripple Creek, West Fork of <br />Cripple Creek, Prospect Avenue Tributary, South Branch of Poverty Gulch, May Avenue <br />Tributary, West Branch of Second Street Tributary, North Branch of Pony Gulch, East <br />Branch of Pony Gulch and West Branch of Pony Gulch based on the above described <br />"Drainage Master Plan for the City of Cripple Creek, Final Report"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the SCS hydrology study, and the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />approximate floodplain maps are henceforth to be considered part of the "Drainage Master <br />Plan for the City of Cripple Creek, Final Report"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Cripple Creek, Colorado has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the approximate floodplains set forth in the <br />aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(I)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages <br />therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide <br />that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />
