<br />? <br />..S'g <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />') <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 106-2-10 (counties) and section 139-60-1 <br />(towns and cities) provide that local governmental jurisdictions <br />may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood water runoff <br />channel after designation and approval of such areas by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to review and approve said reports and <br />flood hazard area maps relative to Weir Gulch within the City of <br />Lakewood; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such revised and additional flood plain infor- <br />mation reports, technical appendix and flood hazard area maps have <br />been reviewed by the staff of the Board, taking into account the <br />basin and flood plain changes and the application of synthetic <br />methods and techniques for hydrologic and hydraulic detailed analy- <br />sis, and the staff does hereby recommend to the Board to rescind <br />and revise the resolution adopted by the Board on May 7, 1969, <br />relative only to Weir Gulch, which designated and approved the flood <br />hazard areas as set forth in the Corps of Engineers' Flood Plain <br />Information Report, Volume IV, and to designate and approve the <br />flood hazard areas set forth in the consulting engineers' report, <br />technical appendix, dated 1972, and flood hazard area maps, dated <br />1973, on the basis that the areas shown are representative of the <br />flood plain conditions as derived from the water surface elevations <br />of the intermediate regional flood flows at the time of the detailed <br />analysis; , <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular session assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 4th day of December, 1974, that it does hereby rescind and <br />revise that portion of the resoll1tion adopted on May 7, 1969, <br />relating to the flood hazard areas set forth in the previous infor- <br />mation reports covering Weir Gulch, insofar as it pertains to the <br />area within the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board does hereby designate and approve as flood hazard areas those <br />areas which would be inundated by an intermediate regional (100- <br />year) flood as set forth in the Fras:Ler_ _&__C3:i.llg.Elry'_r_epor.t,--the - -, - - ' <br />--technical-appendi>rthere~6; a-a-ted August 1972, and the flood hazard <br />area maps, dated April 1973, covering Weir Gulch within the City <br />of Lakewood; and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />-2- <br />
