<br />'51 <br /> <br />~- <br />'S~ <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />102 Columbine Building <br />1845 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />December 4, 1974 <br /> <br />R E ~ 0 L g T ~ 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the united States Army Corps of Engineers, <br />Omaha District, completed in October, 1968, the Flood Plain Infor- <br />mation Report for the Denver Metropolitan Region, Volume IV, which <br />included Weir Gulch, Lakewood Gulch, South Lakewood Gulch, and <br />McIntyre Gulch; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as <br />requested by the Denver Regional council of Governments, by reso- <br />lution adopted May 7, 1969, approved and designated the flood <br />plains described in said Volume IV; and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood, in cooperation with the <br />City and County of Denver, Jefferson County and the Urban Drainage <br />and Flood Control District, requested Frasier & Gingery, Inc., <br />Consulting Engineers, Denver, colorado, to revise the October, 1968, <br />Flood Plain Information Report, Volume IV, insofar as it pertains <br />to Weir Gulch, and to include upstream reaches not previously <br />reported, taking into account the urban development within the <br />basin which has changed the hydrologic and hydraulic characteristics <br />of the basins and their flood plains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the consulting engineers have completed Major <br />Drainageway Planning Report, Volum@s 1 and 2 On Sanderson Gulch, <br />North Sanderson Gulch and Weir Gulch, including Technical Appendix, <br />dated August 1972, and Flood Hazard Area Maps as amended, dated <br />April 1973; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reports and flood hazard area maps outline <br />and describe the revised and additional upstream flood plains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, directs the Colorado water conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or flood water r~noff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />l <br />
