Downstream oJ LS. Highway 85, the First <br /> <br /> <br />Creek channel is fairly well defined. IJoHever, upstream of U.S_ High- <br /> <br /> <br />way 85 the channel is not defined. Ther(~ are f'our major crossings in <br /> <br />this reach. They are, U.S. Highway 85 a 1:. Station 143+80, Union Pacific <br /> <br />Railroad at Station 149+30, East 104th Avenue at Station 163+90 and <br /> <br /> <br />Interstate Hi:~hway 76 (formerly I-80S) a':. Station l7I+40. The above <br /> <br /> <br />four crossings have been designed to IJas:; lhc IOO-year future flow <br /> <br /> <br />wi thout overtopping. In order to accompli sh th:lS, the existing inverts <br /> <br />at these crossings have to be lowered. 'rhe first Creek has been chan- <br /> <br /> <br />neliled from Station 128+50 to O'Brian Canal at Station 216+40. The <br /> <br /> <br />chan.el has been designed to pass the 100-year future floH. <br /> <br />~J'~lwa~ <br /> <br />The U.S. Highway 85 at Station 1.\3+80 has a 5.0' x 6.0' CBC. <br /> <br /> <br />This has to be dismantled. A neH CBC to pass t.l1e 100-year flow wiLhout <br /> <br /> <br />overlopping has been provided. The cl)lv(~rt ~il:l have four barrels each <br /> <br />13.0' wide x 9.0' high in size. The exi:;t,ing e:Levation of the roadway <br /> <br /> <br />Hill not be altered. Riprap protection ha:s to he provided both upstream <br /> <br /> <br />and jownstream of the CBC. The telephone cable under the culvert has to <br /> <br /> <br />be r:-located. <br /> <br />Union Pacific Railroad <br /> <br />The Union Pacific Railroad aL :;tat.ion 149+30 has a 3' x ;"8" <br /> <br />CBe. A new bridge with a single clear !i]Jan ct ~54.0! and with a 10.OT <br /> <br /> <br />dept:l of watelCway has been provided to pass the 100-year HOH "ithout <br /> <br /> <br />overtopping. At the downstream of the jJJ,idge invert a 2.0' drop has <br /> <br /> <br />been provided.
