To determine if a proposed action will take place in a <br />lOa-year floodplain. <br /> <br />. To establish existing lOa-year flood boundaries and <br />velocities for a project site before development takes <br />place. <br /> <br />. To assess anticipated changes in lOa-year flood <br />boundaries and velocities due to the proposed <br />development. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />To evaluate the impact of flood hazards on the <br />proposed development and on other property owners. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />To estimate the annual flood insUrance premium for a <br />typical proposed residence. <br /> <br />. To identify cost effective floodplain management <br />alternatives which will mitigate potential flood <br />damages. <br /> <br />. To make recommendations regarding a decision on issuing <br />a building permit. <br /> <br />Situation <br /> <br />You are the floodplain administrator of a primarily rural <br />Colorado county responsible for making recommendations to the <br />planning commission on proposed development which might be in the <br />floodplain. <br /> <br />A preliminary proposal to develop a 43 acre vacant parcel on <br />the banks of the White River has been received by the planning <br />department and referred to you to make a detailed development <br />review. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The applicant proposes to build a 116 space mobile home park <br />on the site to be known as "willow Bend Park." The market value <br />of the residential units will range from $40,000 to $60,000. <br />
