<br /> <br />",. <br />-': '-"'~-- <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Receive assignments of studies to be <br />reviewed each 2-month period, including <br />the results of meetings between CWCB <br />and local officials (Item 3 in the review <br />and designation process); <br /> <br />Determine priorities in each assignment <br />(with CWCB concurrence); <br /> <br />Distribute the work to the MWE project <br />team; <br /> <br />Ensure that CWCB requirements are met <br />in each assignment; and <br /> <br />Deliver the product for each assignment to <br />CWCB in timely fashion. <br /> <br />The PE(s) will carry out each assignment through <br />the following tasks: <br /> <br />Write letters to communities, place calls to <br />local officials, and compile the histories of <br />floodplain information; <br /> <br />Perform the analytical evaluation of the <br />subject study, documenting and correcting <br />any errors and calculating 100-year <br />discharges when necessary; <br /> <br />Prepare the Floodplain Information <br />Reports and accompanying memos <br />summarizing the reviews. <br /> <br />The SRs will assist as requested by the PM or <br />PE, Their involvement is expected primarily in <br />guidance for the technical reviews and <br />corrections of errors found in the studies. <br />Assuming a 12-month project schedule, the PM <br />will meet with CWCB in months 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and <br />11 to receive assignments with associated <br />information and to set priorities within each <br />assignment. Additional meetings will be <br />scheduled for Months 2 and 12, and at other <br />times if necessary. The Month 2 meeting will be <br />a progress check for the first assignment; the PM <br />will provide draft materials from the first 2 study <br />reviews to CWCB to assure satisfaction with the <br />interim product. The Month 12 meeting will serve <br />as a close-out for the project. <br /> <br />After regular meetings with CWCB, the PM will <br />, evaluate the staffing needs for the new <br />~.~ assignment, distribute the work assignment and <br /> <br />schedule to the PE(s), and put SRs and support <br />staff on notice for any special needs. The PE(s) <br />will write the community notifications, place calls <br />to local officials, and compile the floodplain <br />histories of all communities involved in the new <br />assignment (Items 1, 2, and 4) within the first 2 <br />weeks of the 2-month period, Beginning in the <br />second week of the period, the PE will begin the <br />technical reviews of the studies at the <br />approximate rate of one review every 7 to 10 <br />days. <br /> <br />For each study, the steps in the review process <br />will be document,sd, especially when errors are <br />discovered and corrected, and when 1 DO-year <br />discharges must be calculated (Items 5, 6, and <br />7), At the end of each review, the PE will prepare <br />the draft Floodplain Information Report and the <br />draft memo to eWCB summarizing results of the <br />review (Items 8 and 9). For each study review, <br />the entire package will be assembled for the PM <br />to review prior to delivery to CWCB. The <br />schedule for delivery will be established in the <br />regular meetings between the PM and CWCB, so <br />that CWCB will have sufficient time to complete <br />its resolution and associated materials for Board <br />consideration, <br /> <br />Avallablll1:'4 <br /> <br />The PM will facilillate monthly meetings, project <br />coordination, and product review, anticipating a <br />time commitment of up to 5%. <br /> <br />The PE will commit up to 50% time, as needed, <br />with additional staff engineers receiving <br />assignment if the workload demands it. <br /> <br />The SRs will be available on an occasional basis <br />as needed to consider and help resolve specific <br />problems and issues; their time commitment is <br />anticipated to be no greater than 2%, <br /> <br />j.; <br />
