Preliminary design, final design, and construction of a lOO-
year-capacity grass-lined channel at the Denver West Office
Park. Design included ~:rollted boulder drop structures, rock-
lined low-flow channels, retaining walls. and utility
relocations. The lower portion of the channel was designed
for wetlands and a riparian habitat with natural channel
ball am, cattail area, and wooded area of trees, bu::;hes, and
native grasses.

Drainage master planning for 13.2 square miles encompassing
four drainage basins; three drainage master plans, floodplain
study and stream stabilization mea5ures reports, and a rate
study were prepared. Work included hydrologic modeling,
alternative analysis, cost estimating, floodplain delineation.
drainageway stabilization assessment, and an economic
evaluation. Ongoing pkln implementation included reviewing
developer's drainage studies, evaluating proposed master plan
revisions. designing and constructing new facilities,
monitoring development and assessing the need for facilities,
updating maintenance needs, and assisting the District in
prcparing storm drainage agreements.
Collection of streamflow, traveltime, reaeration, scour, an
water quality data. Determination of empirical equations
using graphical and statistical analysis tcchniques to predict
streamflow and watcr quality characteristics. Report writing
to publish study findings.
