Evaluation included management of air <br />emissions, cultural resources, hazardous materials, hazardous <br />was-te, natural resources, pesticides, wastewater and quality of <br />water supply, and other ,areas. <br /> <br />Prepared andlorcontrib1.:lted to 12 total plans for Spill Prevention <br />and Response and Stormwater Pollution Prevention in Colorado, <br />Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Nevada, North <br />Dakota, and South Dakota. Plans satisfied both Federal <br />requirements and Department of Defense Requirements. Plans <br />also fulfilled the Federal Clean Water Act requirements placed <br />on discharges of stormwater associated with industrial activity. <br /> <br />Prepared PPOAs for 6 selected facilities in various states. <br />Facilities were evaluated for hazardous material usage, <br />hazardous and nonhazardous waste generation, and commitment <br />to pollution prevention. Prepared reports of findings and <br />recommended courses of action to increase pollution prevention. <br /> <br />Performed a feasibility evaluation and conceptual design for the <br />installation of a system to recycle shop rags instcad of <br />continuing to dispose of contaminated rags as hazardous waste. <br />The system approach was to launder shop rags and pretreat <br />washwater effluent before releasing the wastewater into the <br />Albuquerque sanitary sewer system. Planned the retrofit of <br />existing building for the new treatment facilities, recommended <br />modifications to utilities, selected ancillary equipment and <br />supplies, designed layout for equipment installation. <br /> <br />Prepared a runoff study; devised and executed data collection <br />program for urban Be.st Management Practices, evaluated <br />impacts of alternatives, directed field crews, and coordinated <br />report development. <br /> <br />Managed portions of 208 studies in northern and southern <br />Illinois.
