<br />ORl\fl <br /> <br />SECTION V - CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />Based on the results presented in the previous sections, the major <br />conclusions and recommendations are summarized in this section. <br />They are grouped into four categories: prioritized drainage <br />improvements, easements, detention and water qual i ty. This <br />information is intended to help direct the Town in implementing <br />projects to improve existing drainage and water quality conditions <br />and to provide general guidelines to assist the Town in <br />establishing specific drainage requirements for future <br />developments. <br /> <br />PRIORITIZED IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />Ten drainage improvements are listed below in order of priority. <br />These improvements were selected on the amount of damage they would <br />prevent and that they provide general benefit to the Town and its <br />citizens. Improvements that are in the MPA but outside the Town's <br />Corporate Limits were not included. <br /> <br />1. Replace the existing Illinois Gulch culvert crossings at <br />Columbine Road and Broken Lance Drive. <br /> <br />2. Develop a design and easement requirements for a drainage <br />system to convey flows on Lomax Gulch from downstream of <br />Ski Hill Road to the blue River. <br /> <br />3. Provide additional storm drains to convey flows along <br />Main Street to the Blue River. <br /> <br />4. Construct detention/water quality facilities on the main <br />drainageway of the Klack. <br /> <br />5. Replace the Sawmill Creek culvert and provide adequate <br />cover to prevent future damage. <br /> <br />6. Provide a drainageway for floods on Cucumber Creek to <br />flow from County Road 700 to the Blue River. <br />Improvements to the County Road 700 culverts should be <br />incorporated in this project. <br /> <br />7. Install protection to prevent further under mining of the <br />Park Avenue and Watson street headwalls on the downstream <br />sides of the culverts. <br /> <br />8. Improve the inlet to the Klack at Washington Avenue and <br />provide a conveyance system between Gold Flake and <br />Highland Terrace to convey the flows from the Klack Unit <br /> <br />48 <br />
