<br />RESOLUTION
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, completed
<br />three floodplain information reports entitled "Flood Hazard Information, Colorado River
<br />and Tributaries, Fruita, Colorado"; "Flood Hazard Information, Colorado River and
<br />Tributaries, Grand Junction, Colorado"; and "Flood Hazard Information, Colorado River,
<br />Palisade, Colorado"; all in November 1976; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, under contract
<br />to the Federal Insurance Administration, completed a floodplain information report entitled
<br />"Flood Insurance Study, Mesa County, Colorado, Unincorporated Areas" in January 1978;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service,
<br />completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Plain Management Study,
<br />Parachute Creek in the Vicinity of Paracbute, CO. and Roan Creek in the Vicinity of
<br />DeBeque, CO." in August 1985; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service,
<br />completed a floodplain information report eIltitled "Flood Plain Management Study, Plateau
<br />Creek, Grove Creek, Buzzard Creek at CoIlbran, Mesa County, Colorado" in November
<br />1990; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by Mesa County
<br />only in the case of the first four reports, by the Town of Parachute, the Town of DeBeque,
<br />Garfield County, and Mesa County, and by the Town of Collbran and Mesa County,
<br />respectively, by Resolutions Nos. 78, 79,80, 106,244, and 313-91, respectively, adopted on
<br />September 23, 1977 in the case of the first three Resolutions on May 12, 1978, November
<br />7, 1985 and on March 21, 1991, respectively, approved and designated the floodplains
<br />described in said reports; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Mesa County, Colorado,
<br />Unincorporated Areas" revised July 15, 1992 has been prepared by the Federal Emergency
<br />Management Agency; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for the
<br />following streams:
