Lowry assisted in plant
layout, site modifications, alignment of units and staI1-Up testing.

Resident Engineer for expansion studies on the Lusiwasi power plant in Zamiba. Performed
survey for addition of third penstock with 1700 foot head and initial layout of forebay and
expansion of the power canal.

Resident Engineer for field studies for a series of power generating dams on the Luapula
River in Zambia that would have a total capacity of 800 MW. Established two gaging
stations for flows up to 100,000 cumecs, organized an extensive test pit program, facilitated
the seismic and geological studies, assisted with a directional dlill program, and served as a
liaison between the client and local government agencies.

Cogeneration

Project Manager for construction oversight of the Wauna Mill Cogeneration Project in
nOlthwest Oregon for the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). This project involved a
design/build contract for both a 35 MW steam turbine generator and a fluid bed hoiler, the
first of its kind in the United States. Mr. Lowry assisted BPA in review of project documents,
the construction schedule, and construction activities that might lead to cost or schedule
problems.

Wastewater

Project Engineer for Salt Valley Trunk Sewer project in Lincoln, Nebraska. Prepared final
design documents for the Phase I construction of a 78-inch diameter interceptor. The design
included a three barrel inveI1ed siphon across Antelope Creek. All pipe and structures were
lined with PVC to limit corrosion. The pipe material was RCP due to ground water
conditions and a 25-foot depth of cover. Provided services during bidding, construction
observation assistance, plant inspection services that covered the entire manufacturing and
testing process, and assistance with contract administration during construction. Prepared a
routing and sizing study for a future six miles of 48-inch to 66-inch relief sewer. Utilized the
HydraGraphics model for evaluating areas of surcharge in the existing system and selecting
size for the proposed system.

Project Manager for the Salt Valley Trunk Sewer, Phase IIA in Lincoln Nebraska. This is a
1.5 mile extension of the Phase I work. The design is to be completed in January 2000. The
line size is 78 inches. Alternative pipe matelials will include reinforced concrete pIpe,
prestressed concrete cylinder pipe, and centrifugally cast fiber reinforced pipe. Four
tunneling operations will be included to cross under local highways and Interstate 180.

Project Engineer for the completion of the Berkeley Interceptor rehabilitation project III
Denver, Colorado for the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District.
