Lake Las Vegas LOMR

0; Montgomery Watson evaluated the impacts of converting an
original fuse-plug spillway to an inflatable dam spillway for Lake
Las Vegas in Henderson, Nevada. Flood hydrographs of various
recurrence intervals up to the 1/2 Probable Maximum Flood
were developed and routed through the reservoir and over the
spillway. A recommended operating plan was developed for
the inflatable dam spillway, and Conditional Letter of Map
Revision documentation was prepared to request a modification of the
regulatory 1 OO-year water surface elevation in the lake. The rubber dam
and associated controls were installed in 1997 and has been operated
during several large storm events.
