<br />Operation and Maintenance Responsibility <br /> <br />After construction was completed on the Project, operation and maintenance <br />responsibilities were turned over to the Town of Granada to insure serviceability of the project. <br />The O&M Manual prepared by the Corps for Town use outlines these responsibilities. Mr. <br />Enerardo Tovar and Mr. Ron Hogan, employees of the Town are well versed on the operation <br />and maintenance work for the Project. <br /> <br />The Corps makes periodic inspections of the Project. Inspections were made in May <br />1981, January 1983, JuIy 1984, April 1985, May 1987, December 1988, September 1989, <br />September 1990, and June 1994. A Colorado Water Conservation Board staff member <br />accompanied the Corps representatives on the June 1994 inspection. Copies of the trip report by <br />the Board representative and the Corps inspection report are on file in the Board office. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC AND HYDRAULIC ANAL YSES <br /> <br />:ropographic Base Mapping <br /> <br />The Corps topographic. base maps m~et the Board's requirements for detailed floodplain <br />information. The General Plan had a scale of 1 inch = 500 feet and a contour interval of 10 feet. <br />The topographic base map used for Plan and Profile of the levee and related faciliti(:s had a scale <br />of 1 inch = 50 feet and a contour interval of 2 feet. <br /> <br />Hvdrologic Analvsis <br /> <br />The Corps carried out detailed hydrolOgic studies in support of the Granada Flood Control <br />Project. These studies meet the Board's requirements for detailed floodplain information. <br />Hydrologic information is summarized in Appendix I of this Floodplain Information Report which <br />contains selected portions oUhe Corps July 1973 Draft Hydrology Appendix. <br /> <br />The 100-year flood on Wolf Creek is shown in Appendix I as 27,000 c.f.,. The SPF on <br />Wolf Creek is shown in Appendix I as 41,000 c.f.s. The flood of record on Wolf Creek was <br />35,300 c.f.s. in 1965. <br /> <br />Hvdraulic Analvsis <br /> <br />The Corps carried out detailed hydraulic studies in support of the Granada Flood Control <br />Project. Water surface profiles and apprmdmate floodplain boundaries for the intermediate <br />regional flood (IOO-year flood) and the SPF are shown in Appendix III of this Floodplain <br />Information Report which contains selected portions of the Corps April 1974 Special Report. <br /> <br />The design flood for the floodway channel and the right bank levee was 41,000 c.f.s. <br />Design flood for the outfall channel and levees was 9200 c.f.s. <br />PROJECT BENEFITS <br /> <br />6 <br />
