* An outfall channel beginning at the terminus of the floodway channel about 1600 feet
east of the U.S. Highway 385 bridge nOlih of the Town and extending about 7000 feet
northeast to the Arkansas River;

* A right bank levee beginning at a high point west of Granada, about 1900 feet south
of the U.S. Highway 50 bridge over Wolf Creek and extending 10,670 feet around the
west and north sides of the Town. At the point of beginning of the outfall channel the
right bank levee branches. One brllIlch follows the outfall channel northea~t for
7430 feet toward the Arkansas River. The other branch leaves the outfall channel and
extends southeast along the South Granada. Ditch to a high point about 1/2 mile east of
the Town. The top width of the levee is 12 feet which permits access for maintenance.
Riverside levee side slope is 3 horitontal to I vertical and landside levee side slope is
2.5 horizontal to I vertical. Right bank levee height along Wolf Creek provides 4 feet
of freeboard above the project design flood water surface;

* A left bank levee beginning just downstream (east) of the U.S. Highway 385 bridge and
extending 970 feet along Wolf Creek to the outfall channel and then continuing about
6945 feet along the outfall channel to the Arkansas River;

* An extensive channel and levee protection of wire wrapped rock on the right bank of
the floodway and the right levee directly across the floodway (east) from the point of
entry of Wolf Creek into the floodway channel. About 250 feet of wire wrapped rock
extending from 3 feet below the channel inveli to within 4 feet of the levee crest was
installed at this location. The protection extends from 171 feet south of the AT &SF
Railroad bridge to a point 79 feet north of the AT &SF Railroad bridge. Six foot long
by 2 inch diameter steel pipes with spacing of 8 feet longitudinally and 4 feet
transversely were driven into the channel and levee to hold the wire wrapped rock in
place;

* An entry point into the floodway channel just west of the U.S. Highway 385 bridge for
water from the South Granada Ditch. The South Granada Ditch follows the bottom of
the floodway channel to the point of take off of the outfall channel. At this point a pipe
through the levee allows low flows to continue in the South Granada Dit<:h which
extends in a southeasterly direction;

* Riprap protection on selected sections of the channels and levees;

* Interior drainage facilities including two gated structures ( slide gates) through the levee
into the South Granada Ditch;

* Side drainage ditch for agricultural areas to the west of the left bank of Wolf Creek.
Drainage enters Wolf Creek through ungated structures. Drainage water from the North
Granada Ditch is conveyed to the Arkansas River in a side ditch paralleling the left
outfall levee.

5
