Three general <br />methods are used to accomplish these goals: <br /> <br />[] modification of community vulnerability, <br /> <br />[] modification of the physical system, and <br /> <br />[] modification of the consequences. <br /> <br />Vulnerability to landslide hazards is a function of a <br />site's location, type of activity, and frequency of <br />landslide events. Exposure to landsliding can be re- <br />duced by restricting or prohibiting certain uses in <br />landslide areas or by imposing conditions on hazard <br />zone activity. <br /> <br />Exposure to landsliding can be reduced by restrict- <br />ing or prohibiting certain uses in landslide areas or <br />by imposing conditions on hazard zone activity.
