<br />WHEREAS, Sections 3l-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions <br />may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basln only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes. <br />directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such des igna t ions ava i lable to legis la t i ve bod ies of loca 1 <br />jurisdictions: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said new report meets all of the requirements <br />as detailed floodplain information under the Board's "Rules and <br />Regulations. for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and <br />of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR <br />408-1); and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, <br />Colorado, ttlis 2lst day of March, 1991. that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as detailed floodplain information the <br />100-year floodplain as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said new report, dated November, <br />1990, for certain study reaches in said new report for Plateau . <br />Creek, Grove Creek, and Buzzard Creek and does hereby rescind <br />those portions of Resolution No. 190, dated October, 1981. for <br />stream reaches within these study areas; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is <br />directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Mesa County; the Town of <br />Collbran, COlorado; the Colorado Division of Disaster Emergency <br />Services; the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation <br />Service; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />~ ~ R I l ~ l ~ .
