<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FPR 313-9l <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />72l State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />March 21, 1991 <br /> <br />R ~ R Q ~ MIl Q ~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federa 1 Emergency Management <br />in January, 1978, a floodplain information <br />"Flood In5urance Study, Mesa county, Colorado"; <br /> <br />Agency <br />report <br />and <br /> <br />completed <br />ent i tled <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency <br />in October, 1981. a floodplain information report <br />"Flood Insurance Study, Town of Collbran, Mesa <br />Colorado"; and <br /> <br />completed <br />entitled <br />County, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the Town of COllbran, by R~solution No. 190, adopted on June <br />3, 1982, approved and designated the floodplains described in <br />the October, 1981, report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Floodplain Management Study, <br />Plateau Creek, Grove Creek, Buzzard Creek at Collbran, Mesa <br />County, Colorado," dated Noveluber, 1990, has been prepared by <br />the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said new report includes a review of all the <br />previoUSlY designated and approved detailed floodplain <br />information as presented in the October, 1981, Flood Insurance <br />Study and includes revised floodplain information for the study <br />reaches within the corporate limits of the Town of Collbran, <br />Colorado, and the adjacent reaches in Mesa County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />information <br />Grove Creek, <br /> <br />the said new reVort includes detailed floodplain <br />for certain study stream reaches of Plateau Creek, <br />and Buzzard Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town <br />have requested the <br />designate and approve <br />new report; and <br /> <br />of Collbran and Mesa County, Colorado, <br />ColoradO Water Conservation Board to <br />the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (cl, Colorado Revised Statutes. <br />requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />4109E* <br />
