<br />WHEREAS, the floodplain information contained in said report was accurate and said <br />floodplain information adequately met the flood insurance and floodplain management needs of the <br />City of Fort Collins during the period from Febrllary 15, 1984 until March 18, 1996, when it was <br />superseded by Resolution No. 430; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in light of the supersedure of the floodplain information in said report by <br />Resolution No. 430, the after-the-fact designation and approval of the floodplain information in said <br />report simply meets administrative and legal requirements related to any decisions made by the City of <br />Fort Collins during the period from February 15, 1984 until March 18, 1996; and <br /> <br />CR.S. Authoritv <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies oflocal jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />Compliance with CWCB Technical Standards <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain information in said report met all of the requirements for detailed <br />floodplain information listed under the Board's "Rules :md Regulations for the Designation and <br />Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwllter Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1) <br />during the period from February 15, 1984 until March 18, 1996; <br /> <br />Desil:nation. Approval and Rescission Action <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YEP by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Grand Junction, Colorado, this 11th day of May, 1998, that it does <br />hereby designate :md approve as detailed floodpl!lin information, for the period from February 15, <br />1984 until March 18, 1996 only, the 100-year floodplains as described by the floodplain delineations <br />and floodwater surface elevations in said report revised February 15, 1984; :md <br /> <br />3 <br />
