<br />WHEREAS, the floodplain delineations in said report with included Flood Insurance Rate <br />Maps for streams listed in Table 3 are consistent with the undesignated information in the 1991 <br />Flood Insurance Study (Table 2, Ref. No.1); and <br /> <br />C.R.S. AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages'therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(l)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins <br />and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />COMPLIANCE WITH CWCB TECHNICAL STANDARDS <br />WHEREAS, the detailed hydrologic and hydraulic information for the streams listed in <br />Table 3 in said report with included Flood Insurance Rate Maps is consistent with the requirements <br />for detailed hydrologic and hydraulic information listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations <br />for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in <br />Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Durango, Colorado, this 24th day of May 1999, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as detailed floodplain infonnation the storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins within Cherry Hills Village as listed in Tapk 3 and as dEscribed by floodplain delineations <br />in said report with included Flood Insurance Rate Maps dated April 17, 1989; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board that it does <br />hereby acknowledge and reconfirm the validity of the floodplain information contained in <br />Resolution Nos. 31 and 360; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to Cherry Hills Village; the Board of County Commissioners of , <br />Arapahoe County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; and the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency, Region 8. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />- <br />
