PU"~OI. 011' "ROO""" All ordinary flood hydrograph computations associated with
a single recorded or hypothetical storm can be accomplished with this package.
Routines include rainfa11-snowfa11-snowpack-snowme1t determinations, computa-
tions of basin precipitation, unit hydrographs, and of hydrographs, routing
by reservoir, storage-lag, multiple-storage, straddle stagger, Tatum and
Muskingum methods, and complete stream system hydrograph combining and routing
Best-fit unit hydrograph, loss-rate, snowmelt, base freezing temperatures and
routing coefficients can be derived automatically. Automatic plot routines
are also provided.
.. ""OOIlAM ...el"CATIOM'
The program is dimensioned for a variable number of locations, depending upon
the number of alternative development plans or stream system computations and
the maximum number of hydrographs retained in memory at anyone time. Maximum
number of flow values is 150 and maximum number of hydrographs is 270.
c.~ ".T HODI
Unit hydrograph derivation is done by the instantaneous unit hydrograph
method and Snyder coefficients are obtained. Snowmelt determinations are
made by either the degree-day method or the energy budget method. Loss ra tes
are computed using either an initial and uniform loss rate or by a variable
loss rate function. Derivation of unit hydrograph and loss rate coefficients
or routing coefficients is accomplished by means of an optimization sub-
routine utilizing the Univariate Method.
D. EQU.......T DIITA.....
The program requires a FORTRAN IV compiler, utilizes about 32,000 words of
core, and requires four scratch disk (or tape, etc.) units. I
O:.I.""T._,,-.
Card input and printer output. Some output hydrographs may be obtained on
cards. Also, hydrographs may be stored on tape and read again at a later
date in another job.
Po ADDITIONAL ".""RKS
This program is a combination of a number of smaller programs for more
efficient use, maximum flexibility and ease of operational control. Also,
some routines have been developed which were not available in any of the
other programs. Programs combined in this program are: 723-G2-L2230,
723-G1-L2260, 723-G1-L2280, 723-Gl-2310, 723-G1-L2320, 723-G1-L2370.

IMG 'ORII
, AUO 60

2883

....lfytOu. lEDlTtON.
