I
I
I

EXAMPLES OF WATER RESOURCES CONSULTANTS, INC. EXPERIENCE IN HYDROLOGIC ANALYSIS,
HYDRAULIC ANALYSIS, HYDRAULIC DESIGN, EVALUATION OF EXISTING AND POTENTIAL DRAIN-
AGE PROBLEMS, AND THE FORMULATION OF FLOOD CONTROL PROTECTION PLANS.

I
I
I

1. RUNNING CREEK FLOODPLAIN/ELIZABETH DRAINAGE STUDY

Client(s): Colorado Water Conservation Board
Elbert County, Colorado
Town of Elizabeth

I
I
I

Conducted detailed hydrologic analysis to determine peak flows resulting

from a number of storm frequencies. Used SCS/TR-55, Synthetic Hydrograph,

Colorado Water Conservation Board T.M. I, and U.S.G.S. Regional Analysis

methods to compute the peak flows. Delineated the lOO-year floodplain for

Running Creek and its tributary through the Town of Elizabeth using the U.S.

Army Corps of Engineers Water Surface Profile computer program (HEC-2). Routed

the inflow hydrographs through a detention facility and computed the resulting

peak outflow. Provided a master drainage improvements plan for the major drain-

ageways in Elizabeth. Submitted progress reports, hydrologic and hydraulic

technical addendums, a draft of the final report, and the final report.

I

I

2. BROADWAY ESTATES DRAINAGE STUDY

I
I
I

Client(s): Arapahoe County, Colorado

Developed rainfall/runoff relationships for the 2-, 5-, and lO-year frequen-

cy storm for 640 acres of fully urbanized area in Arapahoe County. Evaluated

the existing storm sewer system and identified the drainage, problems. Provided

alternative solutions to the drainage problems and determined their economic

feasibility.

I

3. FARMERS HIGHLINE CANAL HYDRAULIC STRUCTURES

Client(s): City of Northglenn. Colorado

I
I
I
I

WRC provided complete hydraulic and structural design for two sediment

extraction units to keep bed load sediment from entering the irrigation canal,

plus, two side channel spillways, and a gated outlet for a surface runoff stor-

age facility. Prepared final construction drawings, specifications and bid

documents.

-7-
