Q ~ Y l l Q ~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Identification Report. willow Creek, Creede, Colorado," <br />dated December, 19B6, has been prepared by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board at the request of the Town of Creede; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sa id report descdbes and outlines the floodpla in <br />data and information for tile storm and floodwater ,runoff <br />channels or basins of the study area; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Creede has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplain areas as set f~rth in the aforesaid repqrt; and <br /> <br />, WHEREAS, Section <br />Statutes, requires, the <br />assist in the prevention <br />and <br /> <br />37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised <br />Color~do Water Conservation Board to <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23':30:1. and 30-2B-lr'l, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that sucb legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zon~ng regulations for land uses on <br />or alo'ng any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c).; Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water ~onservation Board to <br />'-'-d'e's'i-gn-a-te and approve storm 'or floodwater' Tunoff 'channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local juriSdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas <br />those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermed iate <br />regional flood) as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said report; <br /> <br />I <br />~ <br /> <br />2480E <br />
