The ori&inal mapping, wlth a contour int<<rvalof 2 feet <br />andascaleofl inch equal to 100 feet, Wasconlpiled ,n1975. Since 1975, <br />new development hQS occurred within the study area in the Town of Elizabeth. <br />The Colorado Water Conaervation Board provided additional field survey. for <br />a number of cross section. within the study reaches. This information was <br />used to revi~e the contour mapping, where necessary. A recent aerial photo- <br />&raph,dotedJl1nell, 1979,wasalseusedtoupdatethe land use information. <br /> <br />Fluod Frequency Qnd DisCharge <br /> <br />This report was prepared to be compatible with the H.B,l04l designation, <br />Federal In"uranc" Administration flood inaurance rate atLldie. and can be <br />.adopted by local governments for regulation purposes. The 10- and 100-year <br />flood events were used in the Running Creek anslysis and the 5-, 10-, 50-, and <br />lOa-year flood event" were used in the Elizabeth drainage study. <br /> <br />These flood events have a probability of occurrin& once in the number <br />of years indicated.
