1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The purpose of this report is to determine the acceptable
limits of fill placement in the floodway fringe area of the South
Platte River near Belleview Avenue. Detailed hydraulic analysis
has been performed in order to accurately determine the floodway
boundary through the subject property. The criteria used in this
analysis is based on the current City of Littleton requirements.

The specific tasks completed by Water Resources Consultants,
Inc. (WRC) were as follows:

I. Contacting different local, state and federal agencies
for up-to-date basic information.

2. Securing the applicable hydrology from the Pederal
Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) - Pormerly known
as the Federal Insurance Administration.

3. Obtaining City of Littleton criteria for approval of
filling along major drainageways.

4. Conducting hydraulic analyses to determine the water
surface profiles resulting from a IOO-year peak discharie
for both existing and proposed conditions.

5. Determining the allowable encroachment li.its to define
the floodway boundary.

6. Delineating the IOO-year floodplain and floodway on
recent contour mapping of the area.
