<br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergeney Management Ageney completed a floodplain <br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of Parker, Colorado", dated' <br />September 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report contains detailed floodplain information for Cherry, Creek, <br />Tallman Guleh, Sulphur Gulch and approximate floodplain information for Jordan Road <br />Tributary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by Douglas County, <br />by Resolution No, 288, adopted on December I I, 1987, approved and designated the detailed <br />and approximate floodplain information included in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District completed a drainageway <br />planning study entitled "Open Space Drainageway Planning, Town of Parker, Colorado", dated <br />April 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report dated April 1996 contains detailed hydrologic information for <br />Jordan Road Tributary which meets the standards of the Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, has not approved and designated <br />the detailed floodplain information included in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Parker, Colorado,", revised <br />February 2,1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report contains revised floodplain information for the following <br />streamS: <br /> <br />Cherry Creek <br />Sulphur Gulch <br />Tallman Guleh <br />Newlin Gulch <br />Jordan Road Tributary <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report contains detailed and approximate floodplain information <br />whieh revises, on the basis of I) new topographic information (Newlin Gulch and Cherry <br />Creek), 2) stream realignment and associated channelization (Sulphur Guleh), 3) construetion of <br />a diversion channel and new box culverts (Jordan Road Tributary), 4) new hydraulie and <br />hydrologic analyses (Tallman Gulch), and 5) revised hydraulic analyses (Sulphur Gulch and <br />Cherry Creek) the detailed floodplain information in Resolution No, 164 for the following <br />stream reaches, as listed in Table I, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; <br /> <br />2 <br />
