Informa-

tion regarding these lower frequency floods is especially useful for

engineering design purposes related to roads, storm sewers, channels,

and appurtenant structures. For information regarding flood line eleva-

tions at a specific location, the water surface profile data can be used

in conjunction with the flood hazard maps. The cross-section locations

which appear on both the profiles and maps can be used as reference

points. Water surface profiles are included in this report as Exhibit

~. Photo index sheet numbers, compatible with cross-section locations,

Ire shown on each water surface profile exhibit.

Exhibit B is a selection of typical valley cross-sections illus-

trating the configuration of stream channels and adjoining flood plain

areas. Shown on the cross-sections are the elevations and lateral

extent for the 100- and SOO-year flood events.

I

I

I

I

Flood Frequency- E leva t i on and Discharge Da ta

I

I
I
I
I
I

Tables I through S Include flood crest elevations and peak dis-

charges for the 10-, 2S-, SO-, "100- and SOO-year floods. Report data can be used by

those people concerned in making decisions related to the use and manage-

ment of flood plain areas.

I
I
I

I

I

As a general guide for orientation purposes, the following designa-
tions are assigned to stream names, reach numbers, and cross-section

ident i f i cat ion:

I

INTERPRETATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Interpretations

I

I
I
I

Stream Reach Cross-Section
Name Number I dent I fi cat ion
Jimmy Camp Creek 1 J-IOO thru J-S20
East Tr i bu ta ry 2 E -003 thru E-230
Franceville Tributary 3 F-OIO thru F-173
Corral Tributary ~ C-OIO thru c-240
Strip Mine Tributary S M-OIO thru M-107

I
I

I

I

I

I

I

I

I
