Since
these calculations are only a rough approximation
(=30%) no further refinement is warranted. How-
ever. :just for completeness, it is necessary to
include the immediate Hoos~er Pass area and the
upper portions of' the Halfway. Gollthusen. and
Voltz Gulches as areas which might experience a
precipitation of about 10~ of that of the main
regions. The positioning of the Red }buntain-
Mount Silverheels system is directly over the
peaks with elevations of 13.299 ft. and 13.822 ft.
J.lSL respectively. The circular area radii are
1.9 mi. (3.15 kIn.) over Red Mountain and 2.5 mi.
(4.14 kIn.) over lbunt Silverheels. The location
of the Bald Mountain- B::>reas Nountain system is
with one cell over the Boreas Mountain peak eleva-
tion 13,082 f't. MSL. The second cell is located
1.0 mi. (1.6 kIn.) NNE of Bald Mountain peak area,
1.0 mi. (1.6 kIn.) SSW of' Mount Guyot. 0.8 mi.
(1.33 kIn.) N of the Continental Divide in the
upper reaches of French Gulch at an elevation of
11.41~0 f't. MSL. The circular areas I radii are
3.4 mi. (5.64 kIn.) over the Bald lbuntain section
and 2.6 mi. (4032 kIn.) over Boreas lb\mtain. It
should be noted here that the lower eff'iciency used
in these determinations was 30% as opposed to the
other systems at 20%.

A summary of the assumptions used in all these calculations
is presented in Appendix III.

"
