<br />period from 25 to 30 March. The flood condition was aggravated
<br />by the presence of ice in the channel at the time the flood occurred.

<br />5. Damages;-A total area esti~ate~ at 3,555 acres'was
<br />inundated, mostly to a shallow depth. Crop losses wer'e light as
<br />the greater portion of the area was unplanted. Nq farmsteads were
<br />flooded and there was no loss of livestock. 'So~e fence damage
<br />'oocurred in areas close t.o the main cha~el. Near the mouth
<br />about cine-half intle of the 'Chicago anil,Northwesterp. Railway track
