<br />A final community coordination meeting for the initial study was <br />held on January 7, 1976, by the Planning Department of the City of <br />Longmont. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />In April 1985, FEMA authorized the reV1S1on for the City of <br />Longmont to incorporate the aforementioned floodplain information <br />reports (References 1 through 4). <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />On August 5, 1986, the results of the revised study were discussed <br />at the final community coordination meeting, which was attended by <br />representatives of FEMA, the study contractor, and the community. <br />All significant problems raised at that meeting have been addressed <br />in this study. <br /> <br />An initial coordination meeting for the Town of Lyons was held on <br />February 25, 1977, and was attended by a representative of the FIA, <br />the Mayor of Lyons, and representatives of the study contractor to <br />discuss areas to be studied and methods to be used. The USACE and <br />CWCB were contacted for available data. <br /> <br />A general information search was made at the Denver Public Library <br />and at the Boulder County Courthouse for historical background <br />information, available publications, and photographs of past <br />floods. The USGS and the State Historical Society were also <br />contacted. <br /> <br />A final community coordination meeting, held on June 19, 1978, was <br />attended by representatives of the FIA, the CWCB, the study <br />contractor, city officials, and interested cltlZens. This study <br />incorporates all appropriate comments, and all problems have been <br />resolved. <br /> <br />An initial coordination meeting for the Town of Nederland was held <br />on February 18, 1977, attended by the study contractor, officials <br />of the Town of Nederland, and a representative of the FIA to <br />discuss areas to be studied and methods to be used. <br /> <br />A number of Federal agencies, including the SCS, the U. S. Forest <br />Service, and the USACE were contacted for available data. The CWCB <br />was also contacted. <br /> <br />A general information search was made at the State <br />Society, the Denver Public Library, the Boulder County <br />and the Boulder Dailv Camera for historical background <br />available publications, and photographs of past floods. <br /> <br />Historical <br />Courthouse, <br />information, <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Peak discharge-drainage area relationships used in this study have <br />been reviewed by the CWCB and were found to be acceptable. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The results of this study were reviewed at a final community <br />coordination meeting held on July 11, 1978. Attending the meeting <br />were representatives of the FIA, the study contractor, and the <br />town. No problems were raised at the meeting. <br /> <br />5 <br />
