It includes areas where topography, projected local precipi'tation conditions, and current and futurc occupancy by people, in combination, indicate severe flood ha~ards. Just as there are many areas in Colorado besides the Big Thompson Canyon where severe flooding has occurred and can be expected to occur in the future, there are many areas besides the twenty (20) on this list where severe nooding has happened and where it can be expected to happen in the future. Persons living in or visiting areas other thnn thone on thin lirrt should be tlwnre or cond'i.tionn which cun lead to flooding and flood damage and take neccssary precautions. The following floodplains are listed in alphabetical order. In some cases hazardous tributaries are also listed.
