A new development has been constructed on the
south side of town. The Town gave us a map covering the current town limits.

· The Town would like a copy of the FIRM panel which covers the town.

Field Review
· The Ed Joe Draw watershed primarily consists of low elevation mountains at its headwaters
giving way to agricultural fields immediately to the south of Norwood. Agriculture primarily
consists of irrigated grass-hay fields. In agricultural areas, grazing and tillage have disturbed
the Draw. Vegetation in the mountainous areas includes ponderosa pine, cedars and native
grasses.

· Ed Joe Draw has very little flood carrying capacity through the town. The channel appears
erosive with little floodplain or riparian area. A representative cross-section should be taken
from the contour maps to check capacity and potential extent of flooding.

· There are a few existing structures within the Draw, but no major development. However,
there is potential for development along the Draw both upstream and downstream of the
current Town limits.

· The west drainage and Cedar Street drainage are both very small drainages and do not
warrant designation.

Photo 1.
