WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood
Insurance Study, City of Longll\ont," which included Left Hand
Creek, the St. vrain River, spring Creek, and Dry Creek No. l.
was prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc., under contract to the
Federal Insurance Administration in July, 1977; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as
requested by the City of Longmont, by Resolution No. 77,
adopted July 27, 1977, approved. and designated the floodplains
described in said report; and

WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled
"Floodplain Information and Fl<:>od Control & Drainage Plan Dry
Creek No.1" was prepared by Water Resource Consultants for
Boulder County, the City of Lllngmont, and the Colorado Water
conservation Board, in April, 1980; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as
requested by the City of Longmont and the Board of County
commissioners of Boulder County, by Resolution No. 173, adopted
February 11, 1981, approved and designated the floodplains
described in said report; and

WHEREAS, the floodplain data and information designated by
Resolution No. 173 replaced the floodplain data and information
for the North Line to the St. vrain River (Overflow Area) of
Dry Creek No. 1 and the Main Channel (Historic Channel) of Dry
Creek No.1 previously designat~d by Resolution No. 77; and

WHEREAS, the floodplain data and information for the North
,Line to the St. vrain River (OVerflow Area) of Dry Creek No.1
and the Main Channel (Historic Channel) of Dry Creek No. 1
previously designated by Res<:>lution No. 77 have not been
rescinded: and

WHEREAS, flood control improvements were completed in
January, 1985, for the North Line to the St. vrain River
(Overflow Area) of Dry Creek t>lo. 1 and for the reach of the
Main Channel (Historic Channel) of Dry Creek No. 1 from its
confluence with the North Line to the St. Vrain River (Overflow
Area) of Dry Creek No. 1 upstre~m to Hover Road; and
