<br />SECTION VII <br /> <br />L'\G INEE.RING .DEP A1\Tl:lENT JU;.Co.NHL'IDATIONS <br /> <br />The follm-ring recommendations are based UpCHl the ?hase IIAIl Report. <br /> <br />He feel that the Phase "B" ~ Preliminary Design, which is customarily <br />cOl:lpleted after Pha:::e itA", can be eliminatEcd and final construction <br />plans be prepared. <br /> <br />Our recommended solution is a combination of the alternates prese.nted <br />for Alignments "A") HB" and Itnll. <br /> <br />ALIGc.'MENT "A" <br /> <br />He recommend that Alternate 2 be implemente,d "ith the follo"ing addi- <br />tional comments along each reach: <br /> <br />(1) Reach No.1: Lena Gulch to l10ss Street <br /> <br />The drainage-way is to remain as it is and regular <br />maintenance to continue. <br /> <br />Tile fence loc'ated at the West property line of Camp <br />George We"t be removed from the flood plain limits. <br /> <br />The culvert located under the driveHay at Moss Street <br />remain with regular maintenance since no residence is <br />damaged due to this culvert, <br /> <br />(2) Reach No.2: Hoss Street to Nib Street <br /> <br />This length of drainage-way is to he cleaned up "ith <br />minor regrading, and a hydro--mulch seeding applied. <br /> <br />The culvert under Nile Street is to be replaced with <br />a culvert of sufficient size to pass the lOO-year storm <br />runoff. <br /> <br />(3) Reach No.3: Nile Street to Orchard StreE,t <br /> <br />The dedication of a drainage easement or purchase of a <br />right-of-"ay of sufficient size to construct a channel <br />and maintenance road for the 100--year storm runoff. <br /> <br />The channel would be constrllcted and hydro-mulch seeded <br />to prevent erosion along the drainage-Hay. <br /> <br />The culvert under Orchard would be replaced with a <br />culvert having a lOO-year storm c.apacity. <br /> <br />29 <br />
