.

DATA SUMMARY
The flood profiles for the main creek through the town, Zang's

draw, are given, but because of the steep slopes and small drainage area,

2 square miles, even the SOO-year frequency elevations fall within the

"green belt" area, with the exception of the north side of Agate Way from

Emerald Street east for about 2 blocks, to the drain leading back into

the creek.

The area of possible flooding due to surcharge of the Community

Canal is variable. The canal may be cut at various places to relieve

possible breaking and flooding elsewhere. The water from these cuts

flows down the streets with high velocities and shallow depths.

.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
The Broomfield city offices assisted in this report by furnishing

copies of city maps and copies of the engineering reports by Nelson,

Haley, Patterson and Quirk.

.

6
