<br />, "p/,' <br />,<r- <br />Ite <br /> <br />4:7' <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />102 Columbi~e Building <br />1845 She~n Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />July 9, 1975 <br /> <br />R E ~ Q L UTI Q N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha <br />District, completed in October, 1968, the Flood Plain Information <br />Report for the Denver Metropolitan ll.egion, Volume IV, which included <br />Weir Gulch, Lakewood Gulch, South Lakewood Gulch, and McIntyre Gulch; <br />and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, amaha <br />District, completed in November, 1970, the Flood, Plain Information <br />Report for the Denver Metropolitan Region, Volume V, which included <br />Sanderson Gulch and North Sanderson Gulch; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Frasier & Gingery, Inc. has completed Maj or Drain-, <br />ageway Planning Report, Volumes la'nd 2, including Technical Appendix <br />dated August, 1972, and Flood Hazard Area Maps, as amended, thereto, <br />dated April, 1973, on Sanderson Gulch, North Sanderson Gulch and Weir <br />Gulch; and <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Frasier & Gingery, Inc. has completed supplementary <br />Report, Flood Hazard, Maps, Sanderson Gulch and Weir Gulch, Denver, <br />Colorado, dated March, 1975; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said supplementary report outlines and describes <br />the revised floodplains within ,the City and County of Denver; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or floodwater <br />runoff channel,only after designation and approval by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />,_ ... ____________WHEREAS,_Section.31-,.60.,,106(1)-(c}..._ .colorado.. Revised_Statutes, <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board, upon designation <br />and approval of the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />Frasier and Gingery supplementary report, to make such designation <br />available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conse~ation Board to designate and <br />approve the floodplain for existing conditions as set forth in the <br />
