,.

MEMORANDUM

TO:

Richard Grice, Planning Office

FROM:

Bob Jacobs, Fire Marshal

RE:

Aspen Village Subdivision

DATE:

July 16, 1979

After a careful study of the GMP submission for Aspen Village and a talk
with Bernie Dickerson, Manager of the Aspen Village Mobile Home Park, I find
the proposed area very accessable by Units #1 and #2 of the Gerbazdale portion
of the Aspen Volunteer Fire Department.

The existing fire protection system for the Aspen Village Park seems to
be in very good condition with ood hydr~nt s acin bein f from a
gallon tank ocated to t e west 0 e park, t rough the pumping station
supplying one hundred twenty pounds of pressure back to the park. This' system
should be adequate for the existing mobile home park but careful consideration
should be taken before any additional housing units are added. The six units
to be built below Highway 82 should be connecte~to-1~in water system,
with fire hydrdllL.>, for-tlTelr own protection.

I would be happy to meet with the planners at their convenience or some
later date.
