I
I
I
I

STUDY AREA DESCRIPTION

I
I

Drainage Basin Characteristics

I
I
I

Tallman Gulch Tributary No. 1 headwaters are located at
approximately elevation 6265 feet. The mouth of Tallman Gulch Tributary
No. 1 is at elevation 5895 feet. The stream travels in a northwesterly
direction for its errtire length of 2.6 miles, until its confluence with
Tallman Gulch.

The drainage area of Tallman Gulch Tributary No.1 is 1.1 square
miles (see Basirr Map, Plate 1).

Study Reach Description

I
I

The study reach along Tallman Gulch Tributary No. 1 covers an area
from the Rowley Downs Subdivision southern boundary line (i.e. the Hidden
River Subdivision northern boundary line) to the confluence with Tallman
Gulch. The length of the study reach is approximately 2800 feet. Portion
of the stream has been realigned (from approximately stations 9+00 to
23+00) .

I

The study reach is an extension of the Federal Emergency Management
Agency's (FEMA) map for unincorporated Douglas County (Panels 70 and 90,
effective September 3, 1980). The area studied in this report is
outlined on portion of the FEMA maps (see Exhibit 2). This area was
recently annexed into the Town of Parker and thus should be incorporated
into any future Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the Town of Parker.

I
I

I
I
I
I

1-

3
