In a letter dated
November 29, 2000, Mr. Broutin M, Sherrill, Project Engineer, Carroll & Lange, Inc., requested that
FEMA revise the FIRM to show the effects of the existing State Highway &470 (E-470) crossing of
Green Acres Tributary approximately 4,500 feet upstream of the county boundary between Douglas and
Arapahoe Counties and the effects of channel and floodplain modifications associated with Phase I of the
Compark Development project along Green Acres Tributary from E-470 to approximately 3,000 feet
downstream. The E-470 crossing of Green Acres Tributary consists ofa 10-foot by 12-foot
reinforced-concrete box culvert (RCB) approximately 600 feet in length, The channel and floodplain
modifications included placement of fill; construction of Compark Boulevard, which crosses Green
Acres Tributary on a 10-foot by 18-foot RCB approximately 1,100 feet downstream ofE-470; and
channelization along Green Acres Tributary from approximately 2,500 feet downstream to just
downstream ofE-470. This request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on
August 24, 1999.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Mr, David L.
Mallory, P.E., Project Engineer, Floodplain Management Program, Urban Drainage and Flood Control
District, and Mr, Sherrill.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM
and in the effective FIS report. We have revised the FIRM to modify the floodplain boundary
delineations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base
flood) along Green Acres Tributary from approximately 3,500 feet downstream to approximately
500 feet upstream ofE-470. As a result of the modifications, the width of the Special Flood Hazard
Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the base flood, for Green Acres Tributary decreased.
The base flood is contained in the aforementioned channelized reach and culverts along Green Acres
Tributary. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copy of FIRM Panel 0065 C. This
Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panel of the effective FIRM dated
September 30, 1987,
