Approximately 20 miles of roadway, which were under construction, were impacted by <br />flooding and showed signs of at least partial inundation, This includes areas in both the San <br />Miguel River basin and Upper Dolores River watershed, <br /> <br />. CDOT incurred costs of approximately $2.8 million, including reconstruction of retaining <br />walls, debris removal, traffic control, and other costs, <br /> <br />. Two homes sustained major damage from the floods with several others experiencing minor <br />damages, Several vehicles were damaged as a result of being swept from Highway 145 as <br />mud and rock slid over the roadway surface, One vehicle was pushed into the riverbed, <br />Damages to private property were estimated to be approximately $400,000. <br /> <br />.
