<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Obiective <br />The Project objective is to develop a comprehensive drainage and flood control criteria manual for <br />Colorado that contains sufficient information to assist users by providing reasonable methodologies <br />and approaches that: I) standardize studies and projects to meet local, state, and federal <br />requirements, 2) unifY study efforts for more consistent results, 3) provide technical information for <br />consultants, floodplain managers, and other users, and 4) guide project development and <br />implementation, <br /> <br />The manual will contain text, charts, diagrams, tables, and sample drawings to clearly convey the <br />information. The manual will make use of existing resources, methods, and techniques that are <br />already available. Therefore, the Consultant wi1l not be required to develop any new methodologies <br />or computer models. Overall, the completed manual will be used for reference purposes and will <br />be endorsed by the CWCB for later adoption by local governments for official use. The manual will <br />also be considered for inclusion in the next revision of the CWCB's "Rilles and Regulations for the <br />Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in <br />Colorado." <br /> <br />Content ofthe Criteria Manual <br />Following is an outline and description of different chapters/topics that need to be developed and <br />produced by the Consultant in order to fulfill the requirements of this Project. The Consilltant, for <br />the purpose of this contract, will provide professional services for those items listed in Table I where <br />time has been allocated. Work by CWCB and others will be provided to Consultant for inclusion in <br />the final deliverable products. Percentages (work effort) identified in Table I are for guidance <br />purposes, and actual work effort may vary. The overall manual organization, table of contents, <br />chapters, place holders, and related work will be developed by the Consultant for all items listed in <br />Table I. For this Scope of Services and contract for the first $50,000, the consultant shall draft and <br />finalize the chapters/tasks shaded in Table 1. (Item #'s 4,5,7,10,11,12,13,14, and 26). <br />
