<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 92-329 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 15, 1992 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Commerce City, <br />Colorado, Adams County," dated September 30, 1988 has been prepared by the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board as requested by City of <br />Commerce City, Colorado by Resolution No. 92-328 dated September 15, 1992, approved <br />and designated floodplains described in said report on September 15, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Commerce City, <br />Colorado, Adams County," dated December 5, 1989, has been prepared by the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes revised detailed floodplain information for <br />South Platte River; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provides detailed information that reflects the findings <br />of a new hydraulic analysis contained in those portions of the floodplain report previously <br />designated by Resolution No. 92-328, relating to the reach of South Platte River extending <br />from the southern corporate boundary limit of Commerce City to its northern corporate <br />boundary (as of December 5, 1989) for a distance of approximately 3.0 miles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Commerce City, Colorado has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the <br />aforesaiJ new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages <br />therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide <br />that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br />
