Full size sheets have been furnished to
the City of Boulder for day-to-day working use. These full sized draw-
ings are at a scale of 1" = 100', and existing topography is reflected
by contours having an interval of two feet.

The planned waterway lengths are tabulated below.

TABLE VI 1-1

LENGTHS OF WATERWAYS

Wa te rway

Length of Waterways

Length in Mi 1 es

Gregory Creek
Bluebell Canyon Creek
King Gulch
Skunk Creek
Bear Canyon Creek
Viele Channel
Anderson Channel
David's Draw

6,100 ft.
9,800 ft.
2,740 ft.
14,100 ft.
19,900 ft.
7,490 ft,
3,100 ft.
9,000 ft

1. 15
1.86
.52
2.66
3.77
1.42
.59
1. 70

Total

72,230 ft.

13.67

DESCRIPTION OF IMPROVEMENTS

A brief description of each of the master plans is given below; however,
the reader is referred to the drawings for details.

Greqory Creek. Waterway improvements begin at the turn around area just
above Flagstaff Road. The plan is to remove excess and dead vegetation,
protect and refurbish the channel from there to Pennsylvania Avenue.
Home owners in this area should co-operate with the City of Boulder in
replacing culverts that are inadequate. Flagstaff Road will be regraded
so that if the existing culvert overflows water will be brought back to the
channel. New culverts and special entrance structures to collect the
wide flow will be built at Willow Brook Road, Aurora Avenue, Euclid Ave-
nue, College Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. As the water flows in this
area between Aurora Avenue and Euclid Avenue, special earth work, a
retaining wall, and gabion drops will be used to re-direct waters into
Gregory Pond. Pennsylvania Avenue will be regraded to re-direct surface
flow into the 7th Street Pond. Then a special combination dam and in-
take structure will be bui It to direct the flow into a variable width
high velocity box culvert that will take the flow to Boulder Creek via
conduit in the street. The conduit wIll have a special armor plate
