The file is separated by <br />county. Notice the following: <br /> <br />1. The latitudes and longitudes are in decimals - i.e., the figures <br />following 30, 40 and 100 on the list must be multiplied by 60 to come <br />up with minutes, tenths and hundredths. <br /> <br />2. Notice that the counties have two sets of spotters - i.e., Adams <br />County has some spotters with AD followed by a number and other <br />spotters without the AD. This is because the spotters were recruited <br />for different purposes. It should not interfere with the quality of <br />the precipitation measurements. <br /> <br />3. I have removed the column containing the telephone numbers, since <br />many of the spotters have asked us not to give their numbers out. <br /> <br />I hope this info will be of help to you.
