<br />Explanation of Attachments <br /> <br />There are two attachments to this report, the Depth of <br />Flooding Map, and the Flood Insurance Rate Tables. <br /> <br />The Depth of Flooding Map consists of a base map showing the <br />ground contours, lOa-year flood water surface contours, the <br />lOa-year floodplain outline, the creek centerline, channel <br />stationing and a colored overlay. The overlay shows areas <br />outside the laO-year floodplain and areas in zones of 0-2 feet, <br />2-4 feet, 4-6 feet, 6-8 feet, 8-l0 feet, and greater than lO feet <br />of flooding. The legend on the overlay explains the color code. <br /> <br />The Flood Insurance Rate Tables are copied from the workbook <br />used by insurance agents for calculating flood insurance rates. <br />The tables show rates for various rate zones, types of <br />structures, and elevation of lowest floor relative to lOa-year <br />flood elevation for building and contents coverage. As stated <br />earlier, it is important that a licensed insurance agent or <br />someone else well-trained in flood insurance explain the rate <br />tables to users. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
