A floodplain information report that includes Stone Creek was
prepared for Eagle County by Gingery Associates, Inc. under contract to
the Federal Insurance Administration, in May, 1980. As part of that
report, the floodplain for Stone Creek was delineated by approximate
methods (Ref. 5) without the aid of field-surveyed cross-sections, nor
the aid of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers HEC-2 step-backwater computer
program .

Because the present study is based partially upon
cross-sections and an analysis of water surface profiles
Corps HEC-2 computer program, it should be used instead of
surface profile given in the Gingery Associates report.
