Gypsum Creek - Town of Gypsum - the detailed FIS
does not reflect existing ground contours.
Considerable filling occurred in the floodplain
between 1979 and 1981. The timing of this fill
appears to have occurred after the field work for
the FIS but before the town adopted their flood
damage prevention ordinance. Whatever the case, we
currently have mobile home placement in the
floodplain without accurate mapping. This project
would involve approximately 3000 lineal feet of
Gypsum Creek.

I
I

I
I
I
I
I
I
I

If you have any questions concerning these projects,
please call.

Regards,

SD~

I
/

Sid Fox
Floodplain Management Administrator
EAGLE COUNTY

SF/gp

I
I
I
I
